An heirloom, sent by email

The film is already there,
in the photographs you keep.

The one playing here is a real Memoir — made for Mimi's 85th birthday from the photographs her family already had, composed and scored from beginning to end.

A real Memoir — made from a family's photographs, delivered by email.

How it's made

Eight photographs. One film.

In October 1941, a photographer spent the day at the Greene County Fair in Georgia, following working families around the midway. Eight of his frames, composed into a single film — set in motion, scored and titled, exactly as one arrives in your inbox.

Families arriving at the fair by school bus and car, the Ferris wheel on the horizon
The crowded midway in front of the carousel
The Cody Fleming Show tent, with the Ferris wheel behind it
The swing ride mid-turn, riders above the crowd
A family at a fairground stand, a baby held in her mother's arms
A couple in their best clothes, sharing an ice cream
A boy in a flat cap, looking up at the rides
The crowd gathered on a truck bed as the day ends

The same is true of a holiday half a century old —

Another story

A journey, half a century on.

Eight slides from one Italian trip — Venice, Rome, and the coast — scanned from a family's carousel and set in motion. Nobody had to find a filmmaker; the photographs were already there.

A busy Italian street, cars and shoppers of the period
The Rialto, the canal and the bridge
The crowd crossing Piazza San Marco
Feeding the pigeons in Piazza San Marco
The Doge's Palace and the Piazzetta
A gallery in the Vatican Museums
Inside St Peter's Basilica
The beach at the Lido, umbrellas along the shore
The slides

It works for any story told in photographs —

The moment

The Memoir is beautiful. Their face is the gift.

Somewhere past the first minute, they stop watching a screen and start seeing the years. The laugh. The hand that reaches for yours. The look they give you when it ends.

That look is what you're wrapping.

This is what you give — a touching present, more than a thousand words.

Whose face will it be? —

The gift, delivered

Common questions

Practical, in plain language.

How long does it take?

Each photo is individually animated and scored with original music. Most films are ready in an hour or two. You'll get an email the moment it's done.

What does the film actually look like?

A 2–4 minute HD film (1920×1080) where each photo has gentle cinematic motion. An original instrumental score composed for your film plays underneath, and your loved one's name and occasion appear as an overlay.

Your photos are uploaded over HTTPS and stored in secure cloud storage while we make your film. They are deleted automatically after 90 days. We do not sell your images, use them for advertising, or hand them to outside companies to train their models.

What format is the download?
